This Saturday Neil Saunders Sensei took the class for the afternoon at Genryukan dojo.

We had a good turnout, and a thoroughly enjoyable session was had by all. I think Jon especially enjoyed himself 😉

28th June session – anniversary session

Quick warmup followed by

Gohon-no-kuzushi for white and yellow belts

Randori-no-kata & kaeshi-kata for green belts

It was also our first anniversary session, so cake was on the menu.

21st June session

Gyaku hanmi katate dori shiho nage
Yokomen uchi shiho nage (& kuzushi)
Chudan tsuki kotegaeshi

Randori no kata practice:
Techniques 1 to 10, practiced on both sides for coloured belts.

Focus on demonstrating avoidance and balance break, and using positive techniques.

Ninindori practice.

Mainly concentrating on pivoting and whole body/hip movement to provide unresistable power to kotegaeshi.
